UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior goalkeeper Eric Sciocchetti and senior back Phil Hartman were named to the VaSID University Division Men's Soccer All-State Second-Team, in voting conducted among the state's sports information directors.

"These guys have - for all four years - represented themselves as true student-athletes and I couldn't be more pleased that they continue to get the kind of recognition they deserve," Richmond head coach Jeff Gettler said.

Sciocchetti, who was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second-Team, allowed just 23 goals in 19 games with an .820 save percentage and 1.17 goals against average. He had a career-high 105 saves in 2007 and finished his career as Richmond's all-time leader in saves with 396. The Wallingford, Pa. native finished tied for fifth on the school's career list with 13 shutouts.

Sciocchetti was the 2006 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year. He was a three-time all-conference selection and two-time academic all-conference selection.

Hartman, who was named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team in each of the past two seasons, started all 19 games in 2007 as a defender. He was a leader of the Spider defense that allowed just 23 goals in 19 games.
