
Former Spider Guard Eastman Enjoying Time As Celtics Coach

Kevin Eastman's initial experience with pro basketball came in 1978. The former University of Richmond guard played in the first game of the Richmond Virginians, of the All-American Basketball Alliance, at the Arena. Three decades later, that franchise, that building and that league are long gone. Eastman eventually reconnected with pro ball and now is an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, whose staff these days has a right to feel a mixture of celebration, gratification and vindication.
